Plant rust

Rust of plants. Signs of illness and treatments

What are the signs of rust in plants? First of all, rust fungi affect the stems and leaves of plants. Outwardly, this is manifested in the fact that red-brown accumulations of rust fungus spores appear on their surface. It is because of them that the color of the stems and leaves of plants changes to dark shades of brown and brown.

Then there are processes such as falling leaves, drying out of the plant itself, because of which it becomes weak and dies if they do not try to save it.
Which plant species are most susceptible to this disease? Typically, these are asparagus, camellias, citrus plants and pelargonium, although in general, this disease is not very common in plants.

The reasons for its appearance in indoor plants can be dry air or soil that does not have enough moisture, while in garden plants these reasons are opposite - the increased moisture content in the soil and air contributes to the appearance and formation of fungus, which is transferred to plants with the help of wind and insects.
