It turns out that the most commonplace products that every housewife has in the house can be successfully used to increase yields. These are dairy products, salt, baking soda, dry mustard, yeast, and more. A lot of interesting things can be said about the benefits of each product separately.
What products can be useful in the garden
Salt in the garden
Fighting horseradish. Getting rid of it in the garden is simply useless. Its tenacious and deep roots continue to grow even with the complete destruction of the entire huge bush and most of the root system. But table salt can cope with it. To do this, you must completely cut off all the leaves, and sprinkle the places with plenty of salt.
Saline solution is an excellent prophylactic against fungal diseases. Even before the buds begin to open, it is recommended to spray all fruit trees with it.
Onions often suffer from onion flies or powdery mildew. In order to prevent these troubles, it is enough to carry out a single spraying with a saline solution (for one bucket of water - 100-150 grams of salt).
The same saline solution can be used to feed beets. The first time is at the initial stage of plant development, and the second time - 2-3 weeks before harvest.
Baking soda in the vegetable garden
This product is generally considered universal in the country and in the garden - it can help in almost everything.
When growing grapes, it is recommended to use spraying with a soda solution (70-80 grams of soda per bucket of water). During the ripening of the fruit, such spraying will save the crop from gray rot, and will also increase sugar.
The same soda solution will protect fruit trees from the invasion of leaf-eating caterpillars.
Soda spraying from 1 liter of water and a teaspoon of soda will help protect cucumbers from powdery mildew, and from premature yellowing - from 5 liters of water and a teaspoon of soda.
As a preventive measure, it is necessary to process gooseberry and currant bushes with a remedy made from soda (1 tablespoon), aspirin (1 tablet), liquid soap (1 teaspoon), vegetable oil (1 tablespoon) and water (about 5 liters).
Sprinkling cabbage leaves with a dry mixture of baking soda, flour, and pollen can help keep the plants from being invaded by caterpillars.
Before sowing, it is recommended to soak the seeds in a complex nutrient solution, which also includes soda.
Mustard powder in the garden
Almost all garden pests are afraid of this product. Mustard is a must-have for those who choose organic farming.
Dry mustard is the first aid in the fight against slugs.It is enough to simply sprinkle the mustard powder evenly between the vegetable crops.
In the fight against cabbage aphids, a complex solution helps, in which mustard powder is also present.
Mustard infusion is an excellent preventive measure for fruit trees and shrubs from many pests. It is prepared from a bucket of water and 100 grams of mustard and infused for two days. Before use, the solution must be filtered and diluted with water in equal proportions. For each bucket of the finished solution, you need to pour about 40 grams of liquid soap.
It is recommended to spray fruit trees with this solution 2-3 weeks after the beginning of flowering, and shrubs - in the first week of June.
Fermented milk products in the garden (kefir, whey)
These foods are rich in beneficial bacteria and fungi. With their help, you can fight other fungal diseases that affect plants.
Kefir solution (10 liters of water and 2 liters of kefir) is used for spraying cucumber bushes to prevent yellowing of the foliage.
The same solution can be used to save gooseberry bushes from powdery mildew.
Kefir participates in the independent preparation of a solution with effective microorganisms.
A solution of 10 liters of water, 500 milliliters of kefir and 250 milliliters of pepsi can be used to spray tomato bushes as a preventive measure against late blight.
10 liters of water and 1 liter of kefir is an excellent top dressing for tomato seedlings and adult tomato bushes.
Instead of kefir, milk whey can be used in all types of infusions and prophylactic solutions.
Yeast in the garden
Yeast, which many housewives use in the kitchen, is simply a valuable find for many plants. They can stimulate the growth of vegetable crops, fight their diseases and are able to improve the soil microflora. Most often, yeast is used in the beds as fertilizer.
You can prepare yeast fertilizer using fresh or dry yeast. This top dressing is suitable for all garden plants and crops.
Option 1. First, a basic saturated solution of 5 liters of warm water and one kilogram of yeast is prepared, and then another 10 liters of water must be added for each liter of it (just before use).
Option 2. If dry yeast is used, then you need to take it in the amount of 10 grams plus 2 more tablespoons of granulated sugar and dilute in a large bucket of warm water. It is necessary to leave the solution for infusion (about 2 hours). Before use, add five liters of water for each liter of the finished solution.
Top dressing for potatoes, tomatoes, sweet peppers and eggplants is prepared from water (6 liters), yeast (200 grams) and sugar (one glass). This mixture is infused for a week, an active fermentation process takes place. Top dressing is applied along with watering under each vegetable bush. Add one glass of yeast infusion to a bucket of water.
Yeast fertilizer can be used to water solanaceous seedlings.
To combat late blight, tomatoes are sprayed with a solution prepared from ten liters of water and one hundred grams of yeast.
The same solution will protect strawberry bushes from gray rot. Watering the bushes is recommended before flowering.
Yeast is found in nutritional and complex bionastes and EM preparations.
Note to gardeners! The effectiveness of yeast can be manifested only in the warm season and in warm soil. It is necessary to use yeast top dressing no more than three times during the entire summer season. When using yeast fertilizers, add wood ash to the soil, as the amount of potassium in its composition decreases.

Pepsi or Coca-Cola in the vegetable garden
This liquid acts as a bait for slugs. It is poured into small containers and placed in the beds.
Spraying with these drinks protects the plants from aphids.
