Fertilizing cucumbers: mineral and organic fertilizers

Fertilizing cucumbers: mineral and organic fertilizers

There is an opinion that cucumbers grow poorly without fertilization, and are the most demanding plant for useful elements. But this opinion is erroneous, such a plant takes a minimum amount of nutrients from the soil. An excess of mineral salt in the soil has a detrimental effect on the plant, therefore, before sowing, you should not fertilize the site.

The most suitable fertilizer is rotted manure, which is placed under the topsoil, since cucumbers need warm and moist soil. That is, with active development, the temperature in the ground should be higher than in the air. Thanks to the manure, the beds become warm, and favorable for the active development of cucumbers. During the entire development period, up to four root and foliar dressings can be carried out. For this, organic and mineral fertilizers are used.

Top dressing of the root species is carried out in warm climates, if the root elements of the plant develop favorably. With the predominance of cloudy weather, the roots do not develop well, therefore it is necessary to carry out foliar dressing, for this the leaves themselves are sprayed.

After fourteen days from the moment of planting, the first fertilization is performed, the second - during the appearance of flowers, and the third - with abundant fruit formation. Thanks to the last fourth fertilization, it is possible to preserve the lashes of the plant and take off the maximum amount of the crop.

First feeding

Option 1. A certain amount of water is taken, about ten liters, a spoonful of urea is added to it, and 50 grams of superphosphate, everything is thoroughly stirred, and top dressing is performed at the roots.

Option 2. As a top dressing for the roots, use ammophos up to 5 grams, they need to evenly grind the surface, and then the powder is sealed inside when loosening.

Second feeding

Option 1. 40 grams of superphosphate, 20 potassium nitrate, 30 ammonium nitrate are diluted in water. After breeding, proceed to root fertilization.

Option 2. In ten liters of water, two tablespoons of superphosphate are diluted, after which the foliar species is fed, that is, spraying.

Option 3. To prepare the solution, use a superphosphate extract of 40 grams, 10 potassium magnesium, and a standard amount of water. To prepare the extract, hot water is poured into the superphosphate, and stirred thoroughly, then infused for 24 hours. After this, an extract with a white precipitate is obtained.

Option 4. To prepare top dressing of a foliar species, it is necessary to take boric acid at the tip of a spoon, and a few crystals of potassium permanganate-sour, dilute in a glass of water. Such a remedy helps to make the flowers of the plant active.

Third feeding

Option 1. In a ten-liter container filled with water, add 50 grams of urea, the composition is used as a foliar feeding.

Option 2. Also, spraying can be done with a composition of 10 liters of water, and urea, one spoonful of it is added.

Option 3. The third option is feeding the root species; for its manufacture, you need to use 2 tablespoons of potassium nitrate and a container with 10 liters of water.

Fourth feeding

Option 1. For the manufacture of top dressing of the root type, one spoonful of ordinary soda is used, and a ten-liter container of water.

Option 2. When spraying, up to 15 grams of urea is diluted in water. Fertilizers of a nitrogen type, which are performed by the foliar method, are able to rejuvenate the foliage of plants, prevent them from drying out and turning yellow, thanks to this, photosynthesis improves.

By combining spraying, and adding when loosening humus, you can extend the period of fruit bearing.

First feeding

For feeding the roots, you can use several methods, using slurry from manure, with a ratio of 1 to 8. Also use herbal infusions in a ratio of 1 to 5. You can dilute bird droppings in water, 1 to 15, and immediately water the beds.

Second feeding

To feed the roots, prepare such a composition, add a glass of ash to the water, and water it. The soil under the plant can be sprinkled with ash, about a glass of the product per square meter.

Third feeding

For root feeding use herbal infusions, 1 to 5. You can also use a different composition, for this, in a ten-liter container with water, dilute 2 tablespoons of "Gumi".

Fourth feeding

A composition for spraying is prepared, the same amount of dead hay and water is combined, and the infusion is carried out for about two days. This composition is sprayed every seven days, about three times. Thanks to such actions, the timing of the appearance of fruits is extended, and the plant becomes protected from diseases.

Fertilizers of organic and mineral types can be used in turn, all work is done in the evening or in cloudy weather, after moistening the soil.
