Diseases of indoor plants

If you properly and carefully look after your houseplants, then none of them will get sick. Green friends will delight for many years with their well-groomed and healthy appearance, if: treats them carefully; watering as expected and in a timely manner; wash and spray; avoid hypothermia; loosen the ground; "Feed" with the necessary dressing.

If the care is negligent, then we can say with accuracy that after a short time the flowers will get sick and parasites will overcome them.

Here is a list of several causes of the onset of disease in plants:

  • Drafts
  • Sudden temperature fluctuations
  • Location on a cold windowsill
  • Location near batteries in winter
  • Waterlogging or drying out of the soil
  • The water for irrigation is cold
  • Inaccurate or misplaced transplant
  • The soil does not match the plant

Fungus and parasites can be brought along with new cuttings. As soon as the first sign of the disease was noticed, the affected flower should be immediately removed from healthy plants and treatment should be started. Of course, it is insanely sorry for the "pet" if he was completely struck by a disease - pests, fungus, rot. But in such cases, it is recommended to get rid of the diseased plant, otherwise the infection will spread like a fire and all flowers may die.

Most of all, plants are prone to fungal diseases. The most famous are spots on the leaves; whitish bloom on leaves, shoots, fruits - powdery mildew; downy mildew or downy mildew - usually found in plants growing outdoors; rust fungi cause the so-called rust.

Spots on leaves and trunks, which, after a very short time (if left untreated), crack and spread mature spores; if you do not remove the dying parts of the plant, rot may appear and ruin the entire flower; fusarium - usually caused by untreated land; gommosis - the release of brownish or powdery juice, begins due to damage to the upper layer of the plant. Usually weakened flowers; black or sooty fungus - forms in damp and poorly ventilated rooms. If you notice a grayish bloom in time, you can get rid of it by wiping it off with a slightly damp sponge.

So, if you have a plant, please - take care of it. Otherwise, from a good helper and an air filter, the plant will turn into a dust collector and begin to pollute the environment.
